Bounty builder series pokerstars5/21/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The format has been winning the attention of poker players worldwide in both live and online poker circles. Each time a player knockouts someone, the mystery portion comes in, meaning no one knows what a particular player’s bounty is until that player is eliminated. The bounty portion only kicks in the Second Phase - once the bubble bursts and players are in the money. The First Phase plays as a standard tournament, with no bounties awarded for knocking out players. Instead, the tournament is divided into two parts - the First Phase and the Second Phase. Unlike progressive knockouts (PKOs), where bounties increase as the tournament progresses, in a Mystery Bounty format, the bounties are randomized, meaning players don’t have to wait till the end of the tournament to win a massive prize.Īnother difference is that the bounty portion does not come into play immediately. The format works similarly to a traditional knockout format, with 50% of the entry fees going toward the prize pool and the other 50% toward the bounty pool. It comes at a time when more and more operators are venturing into the randomized style of knockout tournaments.
